Travis Benjamin greets the fans.

Irving Lubricants Best of the Best

On Saturday night in Fredricton New Brunswick the Benjamin Motorsports team joined the Brent Wiggins team for the Irving  Lubricants Best of the Best 100. Brent has been very fast at the Speedway 660 track after winning the the first 2 races of the  season. On Saturday Brent would qualify 4th and we would qualify 7th. Brent was going for 3rd when he was spun early in the race and after 10 laps the Benjamin Motorsports team was 2nd. At the half way mark we were still 2nd but didnt have anything for the leader. With 30 laps remaining Travis was 3rd and still struggling so we made a pit stop to try for a shot at the win but the team would come up short. Brent would go on to finish 6th and Benjamin was just behind Brent in 7th. Next week we will head to Wiscasset.

Benjamin Motorsports struggle but get top 10 finish

On Saturday night the Benjamin Motorsports team was really excited to head back to Beech Ridge after there 3rd place finish in April. After practice the team was on top of the speed chart. During the qualifing race the team would take the lead early but the car got tight and got passed by a couple cars and finished 3rd. That would start the Irving Blue Canoe Ford Fusion 7th for the Feature. During the feature the car would loosen up and the team worked hard to finish with a top 10. This weekend the Irving team will head to Thompson International Speedway on Saturday night.

Rain Rain go Away

This weekend the Pass series was in Epping New Hampshire at All Star Speedway. After practice the team was really happy with the car and was one of the fastest cars. Again in qualifing we drew near the rear of the qualifing race and would start 8th. The car was really fast and in 15 laps we worked our way to fourth and would qualify 7th for the 200 lap race. Once again just before the feature would begin the rains came and the race got cancelled to July 30th a Wednesday night. The Irving Oil race team will still start 7th. They rescheduled it at this time so Kyle Busch and Regan Smith can make it back. We will be racing at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway this Saturday night.

Top 5 at Wiscasset

The Benjamin Motorsports team hit the track at Wiscasset for the second time this season. After a poor qualifing effort the team had a lot of work to do to get up front. In the quaulifing race we started 10th and finished 9th and had to qualify in the consi. After a win in the consi the team would start the race in 25th. During the feature, after the first caution we moved up quickly and was running 13th. We had a better car then that and we kept digging and as the rain came on lap 98 we got into the 5th position. The race was cancelled after that and we ended the race in 5th. The next race will be at All Star Speedway this weekend in Epping New Hampshire.
