Irving Race Team 3rd in Long John

Travis and the Irving race team was at there home track at Unity Raceway for Long John weekend. In practice the car was very good and the team was  excited to get the race underway. After starting third and finishing second, the team was still very excited.

At the start of the feature the team would run 4th for the first 20 laps. "I didn't know if we had a very good car or not at the start of the race but then the car came too" Travis said. Then on the next restart Travis would move into second and on the following restart the team would take the lead.

With 20 laps to go contact with the second place car would cut down the left rear tire and would send the Irving Ford Fusion to the pits for a new tire. Travis would start 7th and make a charge to finish 3rd in just 15 laps.
